The Quest for Generic Viagra: A Prescription for Disaster

I have come to the last part of this investigation of ordering online Generic Viagra from overseas. In part one and two, I call online pharmacists in Canada and Asia to see how customer service handles requests for Viagra alternatives.  The first company I interviewed was in Canada and shipped from India, the second company is in Asia but shipped from India, so there was only one logical place to finish… Finland... No… Wait… India!

I had found the holy grail of Generic Viagra distribution. The company can be found at https://securetabs.com/policy.html and their phone number is 1-800-471-4247. They are located in Mumbai.

The website had a similar look and feel as the previous two websites (i.e. scary). But this site has five noticeable icons on top of the site “Safe and Secure,” “World Delivery Guaranteed,” “Money Back Guarantee” and  “Personal Approach.” Sounds good to me, but let’s see if they speak English.

As the phone picks up, I can hear a chicken clucking in the background and what sounds like a train and a strange ringing. This is definitely a payphone! Or someone on a cell phone in a busy street.  I literally found the alley these drugs are being delivered from. Sweet!

A man answers with a very, very thick accent. Excellent! I feel like I am on the phone with Microsoft technical support.

Secure Tabs: L. O. (That must be Hindi for Hello)

Mung: Hello, I was looking on your website and had some questions about Viagra alternatives, specifically generic Viagra, and was hoping you can help me.

Jackpot! Not only had I gone straight to the source, but I found a company that went out of their way to “yes” me to death and get me generic drugs in record time, no matter what health conditions I have. Of course from the conversation with my new Indian friend, I have zero faith that this place is the type of place you want to purchase any type of medicine.

If you are interested in no questions, quick turnaround and most likely a mystery pill, then this seems to be the best option of the three companies investigated.

I decide to turn up the heat and get some answers from the federal government. Stay tuned for the conclusion where I call the FDA and see if they can help explain the truth behind these online operations.
